Fitzroy Industry Regional Skills Training (FIRST) Funds Mining Tour for CQ Youth

Career Links CQ in partnership with FIRST are funding two tours to the Blackwater Mines. Students will have the opportunity to tour the mines and the Interpretive Exhibit.

The tours will take place in October/November where a variety of schools from Rockhampton & the Capricorn Coast will participate in back to back tours, giving them the opportunity to discover what the mining industry may be able to offer them in their career pathway investigations.

For each tour there will be a maximum of 20 people including teachers and students. These tours are a great opportunity for our students and is the first time it has been made available to the youth of CQ.
